Do you ever have those days where you look in your closet and think “I have nothing to wear“? Usually those days a few and far in between for me since I’m willing to wear just about everything… that is unless I haven’t done laundry in a while (which seems to be a habit of mine as of late – oops!). I recently had one of those days; one where I was short on time (a literal 30 seconds), hadn’t done my laundry in weeks, and just felt like being as comfortable a possible. So in the face of that time limit and what seemed like all odds against my wardrobe, I threw on the first few things I saw and ran out the door not to even look at my outfit until an hour into the school day when one of my friends commented,”you kind of have that model-off-duty look today“. Not only was I flattered but it also got me to thinking that a little creativity can go a long way; while it may have been forced out of me in a moment of hurry it was kind of a bit of rush to just wear what seemed like random pieces that I had never thought to pair together before and turn it into a relatively “cute and comfy” outfit. I think it’s something I should try more often – although avoiding the whole dirty laundry piles and late thing would probably be a better idea!
Well, enough of my rambling, happy monday and thanks for reading! x

Love love LOVE this outfit. I wasn’t sure about this year’s “pantone colour of the year” at first, but this post has me convinced that marsala is good! What’s the lipstick you’re wearing in the pics? Thanks for following, Jo x
