I contemplated naming this post Green Bean, but I thought it might have been a bit of a stretch, not to mention completely irrelevant (although I do like green beans). Another thing that’s a bit of a stretch for me? Wearing “edgier” outfits like this one. But strangely enough I like it, and not solely because this one was really comfortable. I like the way the textures worked here the most; the loose knitting of the hat and sweater juxtaposed against the faux fur’s brushed up texture and denim’s tightly knit cords. And there is just something about leather that gets me; I can’t tell you what it is but when I put these buckled booties on I instantly feel cooler in a nonchalant “I’m a refined rebel” kind of way, if that makes any sense whatsoever.
It’s kind of fun playing with your wardrobe and wearing something you don’t usually see yourself in; it almost seems like playing a new character if you will. I think Marilyn said it best at “give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world” because sometimes we need to try out something new in order to give ourselves the excuse to get in touch with another side of ourselves and view things in a different light. Sometimes I’m a bit rebellious and edgy, more often refined and feminine, but sometimes I can be a bit sassy, and I must admit that it can be a little fun.
Hope you all have a great rest of your day and thanks for stopping by! x
